JONATHAN BISHOP
ASSISTANT LETTINGS MANAGER
Jonathan supports the Lettings Manager Nicola and the team across all aspects of the rental business, including property management, marketing, and contract holder matching. With his keen attention to detail and passion for property, he ensures our rental portfolio is managed to the highest standard, delivering outstanding service to landlords and contract holders across our Cardiff, Penarth & Barry Offices. Outside of work, Jonathan is a dedicated Cardiff City FC season ticket holder and a passionate supporter of the Wales national football team. When he's not at a match, he enjoys unwinding with gym, swim, and spa sessions at St David’s Hotel and Spa.
JAMES HAYES
RESIDENTIAL SALES MANAGER
With over 18 years of experience in the property industry, James is a dedicated professional and a highly skilled estate agent. He currently serves as the Residential Sales Manager for our Radyr office, where his expertise in negotiation, problem-solving, and communication consistently delivers exceptional results for our clients. James has been a vital part of MGY since April 2021, first as an Assistant Sales Manager before stepping into his current leadership role in April 2023. Prior to joining MGY, James built a strong foundation during 14 successful years with Kelvin Francis. Educated at St Teilos High School, James further honed his business acumen at College Glan Hafren, where he studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Beyond his professional life, James is a devoted family man, proud father, and husband.
JAMES THOMAS

A former pupil of Radyr High School, James enjoyed a successful rugby career from Cardiff & Wales age grade into semi-professional and professional rugby. James joined the business in 2012 as Sales & Lettings Negotiator, moving into Commercial Agency. From there he has risen through our ranks and taken a leadership role where he has progressed from Assistant Sales Manager, Branch Manager, and now Director. Our brand guardian James has a passion for marketing and through his eye for detail and a pursuit of excellence James ensures that our brand is portrayed clearly & consistently across all touchpoints. James has demonstrated the hallmark attributes of a successful estate agent through hard work, persistence, and treating his colleagues with care and respect.
MICHELLE BISHOP
DIRECTOR
Michelle joined the company in 1990 as sales negotiator, moving into a new role as our founder Michael Young’s PA, eventually becoming a director of the company in 2016. A people person Michelle is organised, diligent with a “Can Do” attitude. Michelle is responsible for managing operations and HR. Michelle switches off by spending time with family and enjoying long walks with friends around Roath Park Lake and Parc Cefn Onn. For anyone looking to make a move into property or rise through the ranks into leadership, Michelle’s best advice is: “Grow your people handling skills, don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty and study the market to get a real understanding of how an estate agency business operates.”
MARK ILES
DIRECTOR
A former pupil of Monmouth School, Mark attended Glamorgan University studying Estate Management. Mark joined MGY in 1992 as a Graduate Surveyor, qualifying in 1996 as a Member Of The Royal Institution Of Chartered Surveyors. In his time at MGY Mark has worked extensively across our Commercial and Land Department as well as our Survey Department. Mark leads the survey and valuation department and deals with all aspects of commercial property within South Wales. Mark along with James is responsible for our relationships with land developers and oversees both residential and commercial land development for MGY. In his spare time Mark coaches his son’s football team, Ty Celyn, which keeps him fit and healthy. He is also an avid Cardiff Rugby supporter.

CHARTERED SURVEYOR
A Chartered Surveyor at MGY and Allied Surveyors, Simon is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Renowned for his exceptional property valuation and surveying expertise, Simon’s unwavering commitment to professionalism and precision has made him an invaluable asset to the team. He provides trusted advice and outstanding service to clients across our residential, land, new homes, and commercial property sectors.
OLIVER KARAMOUZIS
RESIDENTIAL SALES MANAGER
Oliver has been with MGY since 2014, steadily advancing to lead the sales departments in both our Cardiff Bay and Pontcanna offices. A dedicated professional, Oliver is also a proud family man and an Athenian at heart. He has a deep love for fitness and travel, dividing his time between playing five-a-side football, golf, gym sessions, and visits to his hometown in Greece. Oliver describes MGY as a close-knit family, where collaboration and camaraderie make the business both successful and enjoyable for the entire team.
STEPHANIE EVANS
RESIDENTIAL SALES MANAGER
Steph’s journey with MGY started in 2003 as our Saturday girl in the Cardiff Bay branch before starting with us full time in The Heath in 2004. Steph took over management of the Bay Office from 2010 – 2017 before returning to take over management of The Heath Branch where she is presently based. In her spare time, Steph is a very keen cook and will often host dinner parties for friends and family. She also loves nothing more than a long walk with the dogs!
